About Transalpine Mountain Biking
Choose a holiday with Transalpine Mtb and you're choosing a quality mountain biking holiday based around superb accommodation, a relaxed atmosphere, great food and the finest trails with a crew who are passionate about their mountain biking.
Our main base is in Morzine where we do fully-inclusive and self-catering packages from our centrally located chalet. Enjoy quality 3-course evening meals with wine in a traditional chalet that's got tons of character. We also serve a continental breakfast to help you start the day and there's afternoon tea and cake waiting for you when you return from a ride.
The chalet also boasts a large bar/lounge area with a pool table, games and dvds and we have a basic workshop and bike storage as well. Or if you prefer to make your own meals then enjoy the chalet self-catering style but still make use of our games room, workshop and bike storage. And yes we'll show you some classic trails in Morzine but we'll also go that bit further and take you into some further valleys on some less well-ridden trails.
Of course, like any good mountain biker worth his or her salt, we couldn't resist the temptation of seeing what was over the next hill or round the next corner so we had a look, and found paradise - miles and miles and miles of fantastic riding. We'd like to show you this so we've put together two trips to do just that.
On our Northern Alp Raid enjoy the best riding in the Morzine region from the comfort of our chalet but on two days of your week's holiday we'll take you out and into some different riding areas. First up is a day out in the Chamonix valley where the steep sided slopes and amazing singletrack make for an unforgettable day away.
On our other day out we'll be heading into the Grand Massif region to tackle the weird and wonderful descent from Flaine - 1800m of prime riding - from rocky ridges down through high pastures and into wooded alpine singletrack.
Fantastic!
Our Alpine Traverse holiday is a totally different kind of beast. Pure XC through and through. The concept's simple - cross the French Alps from north to south in a vehicle-supported point-to-point journey, taking in picture postcard villages, superb riding and some fantastic French ambience along the way. If you're looking for something unique, different and challenging then this could just be the trip for you.
